The high street has been in decline for many years, with businesses shutting down and leaving town centres deserted. This has had a huge impact on the local economy, and something needs to be done to reverse this trend. One of the solutions that has been proposed is for local government to play a bigger role in supporting high streets. In this article, I will discuss the role of local government in promoting economic growth and creating jobs.
Over the years at TUAid, we’ve helped create some of the most successful collaborations I’ve ever seen. Not just by uniting several different charities with common goals but also between these good causes, their landlords and their agents. I would even go further and say that this is more than just collaboration.
